Rachele Buriassi
PRINCIPAL DANCER WITH LES GRANDS BALLET CANADIENS
Rachele Buriassi is starting her first season as prima ballerina at Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in Montreal, Canada. Rachele was born in Sarzana, Italy and started ballet at the age of 4. At 11 she won a full scholarship to attend École De Danse de Rosella Hightower in Cannes, France. After three years Rachele moved to Stuttgart, Germany to attend the John Cranko School where she studied in the Vaganova method. In 2006, immediately after her graduation, she joined the Corps de Ballet of the Stuttgart Ballet. In 2010 Rachele was promoted to second soloist and in 2012 to first soloist. In 2015 she joined the Boston Ballet as a soloist and in 2019 she moved to Canada as prima ballerina with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. Rachele teaches and guests around the world.
